How to Pluck Eyebrows

By Richmond at 2010-04-03 03:01:20
If you are doing it on your own, start by determining the natural shape of your brows. Use a long stemmed brush or a pencil, place it on the side of your nose and align it with the inner corner of the eye pointing upwards. Your eyebrow should start where the brows meet the brush. Pivot the pencil or the brush to reach the outer corner of your eye, that point is where your brows should end.

Tweezing those tiny eyebrow hairs can put a lot of strain on your hands. You can combat that by purchasing tweezers that have a comfort grip. You'll avoid any strain or pain. You'll likely have more control over the eyebrow hairs you remove as well.Luckily, tweezers with comfort grips don't tend to be much more expensive than the classic variety. This should put them right in your budget.

Eyebrow Threading is a simple technique that creates a clean, smooth shape to the eyebrow by removing the hair at it's follicle in a neat, clean line. Threading involves using a piece of cotton thread that is typically 24 inches long, and is tied in a knot at the ends to form a circle. Then placing both left and right hands index finger and thumb inside of the circle and twisting it around 10 times creating a (X) looking shape in the middle. Threading begins by placing the (X) part of the thread snuggly against the skin on the left side of the hairs that are to be removed.

Plucking should not be performed overly because it takes months for the eyebrow hairs to grow back. The space between the eyebrows should be equal or a bit wider than the eyes.A long eye shadow brush or pencil can be used (holding it parallel to the nose's side) and the point where the brush meets the brow is the beginning point of the brow.

Don't pluck the upside of the eyebrow unless you have to remove some hairs that don't go with the shape, but are living a life of their own. Pluck from below to open up the eye. Pluck it so that it tapers the farther from your nose it gets.

Pluck, pluck and away! Tweezers are very necessary when it comes to maintaining eyebrows. Plucking involves removing stray hairs that fall outside of the natural eyebrow shape. Plucking eyebrows is less painful if you invest in quality tools. Good tweezers will make plucking effortless. To pluck your brows, place a hot washcloth over our brows to open up the pores. Then find a stray hair and pull, not yank, it in the direction that the hair is growing in. That is it! Repeat this process on other stray hairs you see.

The first way to remove eyebrow hairs involves a set of tweezers. Every one is familiar with this method but this doesn't mean you're tweezing the right way! Here are a few tips if this is your preferred method of removing eyebrow hairs. First off, wet the hairs. Pulling hairs out of dry eyebrows can be a pretty painful experience. It's also important to only pull out on or two hairs at a time.

The best time to shape eyebrows is after a warm shower or bath as the pores are open and the roots can be pluck out more easily which causes less skin pull and irritation, a warm flannel or towel placed on the eyebrows beforehand will have the same affect also. You should never leave too much space between the eyebrows as this can cause the nose to look larger and more bulbous than normal, a about 1 - 1.5 cm is more than enough room to be left between the brows.

Waxing is performed using specially designed strips of soft plastic which are already cut into the particular shape you have chosen for your eyebrows. There are many different pre-cut strips available in the stores or you can have them cut especially for your particular brow line, though this can cost a little more if you require the help of a technician. The placement of the strips over the brow is tricky and intricate, it is very important to make sure that you get the exact position before pressing the wax down securely on to the hairs.
